Very chaotic experience. Had an appointment to get blood drawn. It took 2hrs for a 5 minute blood draw.
Since I was a kid, we have been taking our pets and when I had horses we took them here to. Bedford Animal Hospital is the best, most caring place around. All the vets, staff, especially Mary, I believe there are two Mary's, but this one works in office i believe, in her fifties maybe??? But she is amazing and so caring!! Dr. Adam's is also excellent. Dr. Dawson left, but I liked her also. Although very busy, everyone is caring, compassionate, and professional. Whenever I have had to make that dreaded decision, they are compassionate and understanding. I always get a caring card, which means so much! 10 stars if I could for Bedford Animal Hospital!!!!
When my parents moved to Bedford, they made regular visits to BAH with their anxious, elderly dog. It was a rough situation for everyone, as these relative strangers were asked to provide care for a pet whose health was likely never going to improve, and witnessing Bartlet's decline was hard on all of us. With that said, I'm immensely grateful for everything the staff did for him. They provided excellent, compassionate care, improved his quality of life for months, made time for emergency visits in their busy schedule, and showed us nothing but kindness when I went with my mother to request euthanasia and say our goodbyes. It's been almost a year, and when I think of our last moments with our beloved furry family member, I still appreciate their gentleness with Bartlet and the help they gave us more than I can say.
5++++ I found a poor little tabby kitty hit, curled up on the side of the road Monday bleeding and in shock, I couldn't just leave it and honestly did not expect it to live. Bleeding from rectum and nose and a badly broken leg....I called April and she told me to bring her in, not only did they assess her damages, the treated her, amputated the leg and are now keeping her so they can find her a perfect furever home! I am at a loss for words! I am so grateful to have this practice here in Bedford. They are angels for treating this car so humanely and not just putting an injured "stray" down. My faith in humans has been a little restored today!!!
You won't find a better vet office than this one. Dr. Watkins and all the staff are the best. Thanks for always fitting me in and taking care of my furry babies.
Called ahead of time, twice, about starting a puppy on heartworm meds. Told us we did not need to bring the puppy. When we were there, without the puppy, told us we would need to come back with the puppy to get heartworm meds.
